David Sacks

David Sacks brings 40 years of elite wrestling experience to Nashville MMA Training Camp. Originally from Pompano Beach, Florida, David wrestled for Stanford University and went on to earn a Ph.D. in Psychology from Florida State. He is a licensed clinical and sport psychologist with a passion for combining mental and physical excellence in coaching.

David’s wrestling accolades include a silver medal in Greco-Roman at the US Olympic Festival, Florida freestyle and Greco-Roman open championships, and national titles in New Zealand. His coaching emphasizes fundamentals and deliberate practice over raw talent, fostering growth through effort, focus, and resilience.

He is also the head wrestling coach at Hume-Fogg High School and co-author of Extreme Balance with Ben Askren and Joe DeSena.
